Polres Gorontalo Kota – Polisi Sahabat Anak merupakan salah satu program dari Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia yang menyasar anak-anak pada usia dini dengan tujuan untuk menanamkan kedisiplinan dan memberikan pembelajaran tentang tata tertib berlalu lintas kepada anak-anak sejak dini. Demikian dikatakan Bhabinkamtibmas Kel.Liluwo, Kecamatan Kota Tengah, Kota Gorontalo, Brigadir Rijal saat berada di TK TK.Perwati Yang Berada Di Jl.Awara Karya Kel.Liluwo Kec Kota Tengah , kamis (19/09/2019).

Di TK itu, Brigadir Rijal melaksanakan kegiatan Polisi Sahabat Anak. Ia memberikan bimbingan dan penyuluhan dengan materi pengenalan aturan dan rambu berlalu lintas. Didampingi para guru Tk, Brigadir Rijal memperkenalkan tugas polisi sebagai pelindung, pengayom, dan pelayan masyarakat yang disampaikan dengan bahasa sederhana dengan metode belajar sambil bermain.

“Dengan metode ini nampak dari wajah wajah mereka yang ceria sehingga tidak tampak rasa takut ketika bertemu dengan polisi,” ujar Rijal.

“Padahal biasanya polisi kerap dilihat sebagai sosok yang ‘menakutkan‘ bagi anak-anak, Terlebih para orang tua terkadang menggunakannya untuk menakut-nakuti anak jika rewel atau nakal

“Kegiatan Polisi Sahabat Anak ini merupakan kegiatan positif. Terlebih anak-anak dikenalkan dengan berbagai hal seperti tugas polisi, rambu-rambu lalu lintas, dan lainnya,” tutur Rijal.

Tujuan kegiatan Polisi Sahabat Anak ini adalah menanamkan kecintaan anak-anak kepada polisi sejak dini. “Diharapkan para siswa ini kelak kalau sudah dewasa bisa lebih disiplin dan mematuhi segala peraturan perundang-undangan,” jelas Brigadir Rijal diakhir kegiatannya
