Setelah menerima Laporan masyarakat gabublngan ,Piket Fungi Spkt,Sat Reksrim,Sat Intelkam dan Polsek Kota Timur mendatangi serta melakukan olah Tkp dan evakusi jenazah dari selokan yang di pimpin langsung oleh Kasat Reskrim Iptu Nauval Seno,STK,SIK
Kapolresta Gorontalo Kota Akbp Ardi Rahananto,SE,SIK,M.Si melalui Kasat Reskrim Polres Gorontalo Kota Iptu Mohamad Nauval Seno,STK,SIK mengatakan jenazah korban sudah dibawa ke Rumah Sakit Aloei Saboe untuk dilakukan pemeriksaan namun pihak keluarga menolak untuk diotopsi.
Lebih lanjut Iptu Nauval menjelaskan bahwa identitas korban adalah Bayu Suleman (28) warga kelurahan Heledulaa Utara Kecamatan Kota Gorontalo yang sebelumnya di kabarkan hilang oleh pihak keluarga dan sudah di posting di media sosial.
Dengan kejadian ini kami akan melakukan pemanggilan terhadap ppk, pengawas dan penyedia/kontraktor pada proyek pekerjaan kanal terebut tutup Iptu Nauval
